It's spring and Sherman and Gus make their way to Sherman's pine woods. Along the way, they encounter Rufus, a known bully whom Gus outwits. Later, when Rufus returns and again gets his comeuppance, Sherman and Gus head west for a better place to live. They come upon an abandoned house that turns out to be haunted by a scary ghost who throws fireballs to keep visitors away from a small tribe of mice that live there too. Mice whose ancestors came from France during our Revolution! Who is this bully ghost and why he is so angry? Can Sherman and Gus help free the French mice?
